Antal Ecsedy

Antal "Tony" Ecsedy, 73, of Simi Valley, California, passed away due to natural causes, Saturday, April 5th, 2014 in Simi Valley Adventist Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 14th at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran St., Simi Valley, California 93063. There will be a viewing immediately before the services from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Contributions suggested to the family in lieu of flowers.

Antal was born October 16th, 1940 in Munkacs, Hungary to Antal and Anna (Vereb) Ecsedy. Antal was a United States National Guardsman, a Los Angeles County Sheriff and was employed as an iron worker with Tecon Pacific for 40 years before retiring. He was an avid fisherman. He spent most of his weekends fishing before he became ill. He also enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with his beloved wife.

Antal is survived by his five sons, Antal Michael Ecsedy and his wife Sarah of Long Beach, Ca., Steven Scott Ecsedy and his wife Tammie of Simi Valley, Ca., Arpad Andrew Ecsedy of Ojai, Ca., Attila Matthew Ecsedy and his wife Michelle of Port Hueneme, Ca. and Anthony Erik Ecsedy and his wife Nichole of Simi Valley, Ca.,   Eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His brother Arpad Ecsedy and wife Yudith and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antal and Anna, and his wife Bonnie Louise Ecsedy (Doty) in 2008.
