Anthony Olivas

I am writing to share the sad news that Anthony Greg Olivas (Tony) passed away on July 29, 2026, in Van Nuys, California from complications associated with a long illness. He was 68 years old.

A Rosary and Mass will be held at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church located at 1305 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley, California on August 10, 2026. Rosary: 10:30 – 11:00. Mass: 11:00 – 12:00. 

Graveside will be held on Friday, August 14th, 2026 11am at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, Ca.

Tony was born in Riverside, California to Albert and Joy Olivas on March 28, 1958. He attended Simi Valley High School and graduated in 1977. After graduating high school, he continued his studies at Moorpark College.Tony decided to follow in his father’s footsteps by joining the laborer’s union, which he turned into a 30-year career. Tony was proud of the fact that he helped in building many of the high-rise buildings you see today in Santa Monica, CA as well as downtown Los Angeles.Tony had many hobbies, which included: Hunting, fishing, camping, target shooting, ammunition reloading, riding his Harley Davidson, as well as a member in a local car club.

Tony is survived by his niece, Infinie De La O of [Huntington Beach] He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Joy Olivas, his sister, Terry Olivas, and his grandparents.

Tony was not just a dear friend, but a brother to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He

was always willing to help a fellow brother. Until we meet again, rest in peace brother.
