Barbara Ann Blamer

September 30, 1952 — February 1, 2015

It is with great sadnees that we announce the sudden passing of a beautiful woman, Barbara Ann Blamer. Barbara passed away on Sunday, February 1st with her loving family at her side.


Barbara was born in Mahnomen, Minnesota, the fourth of nine children to Myrtle & Kenneth Monteith. The family moved to the San Gabriel Valley, California in 1953 where Barbara grew up and graduated from Gladstone High School, Azusa, Ca in 1969. Barbara married and gave birth to three children, Diamon, Bryan and Kelly. Barbara worked as a cake decorator for Stater Brothers & Alpha Beta while raising her children. For the past 11 years she has cared for her mother and helped many residents at Ashlee Manor where she lived. She enjoyed bingo, poker, and traveling to Laughlin. Barbara touched many lives with her heart and beautiful smile thourghout her life and will be remembered and missed by all.


Barbara is preceded by her father Kenneth, grandparents, John and Alice Haug, and Brother Jody. Survived by her ex husband Gary Blamer, children, Diamon (Mike) Carter, Bryan (Monica) Sweesy and Kelly Kerr, mother Myrtle and stepfather Wes Harvey. Her siblings Donda Korch, Larry (Rae) Monteith, Kenny Monteith, Ted Monteith, Linda Monteith, Christina Kayser, Mavrick Von Haug and sister-in-law Rosie Monteith. Barbara's five grandchildren, CJ kerr, Shane Carter, Skyler, Jace and Lance Sweesy, nine nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of extended family and friends.
