Barbara Ann Kiesel, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Barbara passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, in Joshua Tree. Born on July 26, 1947, in New York, Barbara lived a life marked by kindness, a great sense of humor, and the courage to always speak her mind. Known affectionately as "Bad Ass Barb," she carried a warmth and generosity of spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her career, Barbara worked at the school cafeteria, where she found particular joy in seeing her youngest son Nick and her grandchild Billy during school lunch. Her proudest accomplishment was taking care of her family, a mission she embraced wholeheartedly every day. Barbara was more than just a Mother; she was a source of guidance, always ready with a treasured recipe. She had a way of making people laugh, blending her straightforward honesty with a loving heart.

Her family was the center of her world. Survived by her children Cheryle Kiesel, Bonnie Kiesel, Doug Kiesel, Dolly Kiesel, and Nick Kiesel, Barbara’s legacy lives on in the love she sowed and nurtured within them. She joins in peaceful rest her husband, Arthur Kiesel, and her daughter Donna Kiesel, both dearly missed.

Barbara leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a deep, enduring impact on those whose lives she graced. She was a beacon of love and strength, a mother and grandmother like no other, whose absence will be profoundly felt. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who loved her.

A Celebration of Life to honor Barbara’s memory will be held on April 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rose Family Funeral Home & Cremation, located at 4444 Cochran St, Simi Valley, CA 93063. Friends and family are invited to gather and share stories, laughter, and tears as they remember a woman who gave so much to those around her.

Barbara Ann Kiesel’s life was a testament to love, care, and unwavering dedication. She will be deeply missed but forever treasured in the hearts of all who knew her.
