Bernarda Mccarroll

Birdie McCarroll, a resident of Simi Valley, passed away on July 18, 2022 at the age of 81. She was in her home surrounded by love.

Visitation will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on July 26, 2022, from 6:00-9:00 pm with rosary starting at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Rose of Lima on July 27, 2022, mass starting at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.

Birdie was born in Sanderson, TX to Arsenio & Claudia Saenz on March 21, 1941. She went to Narbonne High School and graduated in 1959. She worked as a domestic engineer (her words) for 61 years. She enjoyed shopping & finding the best deal, but her biggest contribution was taking care of countless kids, teaching them to swim & to be loving people.

Birdie is survived by her husband, Bill of 61 years, son Willie, daughter Claudette, 3 grandkids, 4 great grandkids and many other extended family members.
