Brandon was born on November 2, 1989, in Thousand Oaks, California, to Charlene and Dean Jaeger. He attended Royal High School, graduating with the Class of 2008, where he stood out both academically and as a dedicated member of the RHS basketball team. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from California State University Channel Islands. With his natural charisma and ability to bring people together, Brandon built a career in hospitality, working with Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Prior to that, he worked at Calamigos Ranch, where he met the love of his life, his wife, McKenna.
Brandon had a deep love for life and for the people in it. He was a devoted husband, a protective brother, a loving son, and a proud uncle, cousin, nephew, and godfather to Braxton. As his life grew, so did his role as protector—becoming not only a steadfast brother but ultimately a deeply devoted and protective husband. His love for McKenna was unwavering, and together they built a life full of joy, laughter, and shared dreams. He also adored his beloved dog, Piper, and cat, Tiger Lily, who were constant companions in his life.
A true sports fanatic, Brandon’s passion for sports was unmatched. While he loved hockey, baseball, football, and golf, basketball was at the center of his world. From a young age into adulthood, he built lasting friendships through the basketball community across the Conejo Valley and beyond. He was a loyal fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and deeply admired Kobe Bryant. Whether he was playing, watching, or even placing a friendly wager, Brandon found joy in every aspect of the game.
Brandon loved adventure and making memories. He cherished time spent at his family’s cabin in Lake Arrowhead, where he enjoyed snowboarding in the winter and wakeboarding in the summer. He had a passion for travel and experienced the beauty of places like Thailand, Amsterdam, Bali, Cabo, and Cancun. He was especially looking forward to celebrating his future with McKenna, as they were planning their anniversary trip to Hawaii as newlyweds.
He was also the heart behind one of his family’s most cherished traditions—the Santa party—which has brought joy and togetherness to loved ones for over 30 years. Brandon had a gift for bringing people together, creating moments that will live on for generations.
Brandon is survived by his wife, McKenna Jaeger; his parents, Charlene and Dean Jaeger; his siblings, Daniel “Danny” Jaeger and Cecilia “Ceci” Jaeger; and a large extended family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation in honor of Brandon’s love for sports and community.
Though his time with us was far too short, Brandon’s impact was immeasurable. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered, now reunited with loved ones above—joining all of our angels in heaven
