Carol Anne Bergeson

January 29, 1948 — December 15, 2014

Carol Anne Bergeson died at the age of 66 on December 15, 2014 after a prolonged two decade long battle with cancer.

Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 29, 1948, to Mildred and Arthur Border. After the death of her father in 1949, her mother Mildred remarried Ernest Crenshaw in 1955. Working in aerospace sales for Westinghouse, the family migrated to California and settled in the San Fernando Valley. Carol attended Erwin Street Elementary, Millikan Jr. High, and Grant High School where she excelled academically, performed in the cheerleading squad, participated in competitive rifle shooting and sang in the choral group. Upon graduation, she attended Nursing School at Hollywood Presbyterian Nursing Academy, as a Registered Nurse she practiced primarily for 18 years at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank. Once married she and Dave remodeled a home after they relocated it to a vacant lot in Panorama City where she lived until her death. After back ailments forced her from nursing, she began work for her church where she managed the children's ministry educational programs for The Church at Rocky Peak and later, for the administration and management of the church's membership database up until her retirement in 2013. She was extremely passionate about her service at Rocky Peak. Carol is survived by her brother Art, husband David of 40 years, her son Matt, daughter Deanna, and six grandchildren.
