Charles Ray Coleman Jr

Charles Ray Coleman Jr., at age 64, passed away on September 6, 2023 at his home in Pacoima, CA.

Charles was born in Romulus, Michigan, son of Charles Ray Coleman Sr. and Irene Hulen. After graduating from Romulus High School, he moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1978. A few years later he met Divina Magdangal in 1981 to whom he was married to for 42 years. Charles graduated from the University of Southern California in 1990 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He was a beloved teacher at Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall for nearly 28 years, retiring in 2022.

His hobbies included movies, traveling, politics, outdoor activities, and sports, particularly the Michigan Wolverines. A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife Divina, two children (Charles Coleman III and Emyrene Coleman), his sisters Donna Aulerich and Janice Helvey, and many other friends and family. A memorial service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home, located at 4444 Cochran St., Simi Valley CA on October 23, 2023 at 11am.
