Cindy a long time resident of Simi Valley passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Warren Ohio on November 3, 1962 the daughter of William and Virginia Shaffer of Cortland Ohio. Cindy was a graduate of Mathews High school.

Cindy was known for her love for boating, pets and an overwhelming love for friends and family. She was not only the mother of her own daughter but of many other that called her mom as well. She spent most of her time on the river in Parker, AZ where she and her husband would boat and spend time with close friends and family. The water is where she was most at home. She loved spending time outside in the sun, especially on patios where chips and salsa were served. While at home she was known for opening her house and heart to friends in need and caring for her beloved dogs, Roxanne and Spanky.

In addition to her parents Cindy is survived by her loving husband Michael , daughter Holly both of Simi Valley. Mother in law, Terry Coons and brother in law Danny Coons, One sister Tina Pleasant and her husband Gerry of Enfield, CT, a brother Mickey Shaffer of Cortland, Ohio. She was also the cool, loving Aunt to nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to her celebration of life on October 15, 2016 at 11:00am at the Cornerstone Community Church 2080 Winifred Street, Simi Valley, CA 93063.
