Consuelo Valdez

Connie to all that knew her, born in Moorpark, CA on July 31, 1919 and passed away peacefully at the age of 94, on September 13, 2013 in Simi Valley CA. She is survived by three of her six children, daughter Elba Shellabarger, son-in law Ray Shellabarger of Simi Valley, son Reuben Valdez, daughter-in-law Barbara Pietrowski-Valdez of Simi Valley, and daughter Susan Valdez of Dublin CA. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Connie was a real-life "Rosie the Riveter" and helped America's cause during WWII. Post war time, she was always an active & productive member of the community where she lived with her husband Ascension D. Valdez, raising their family in the San Fernando Valley in Canoga Park. Consuelo also volunteered her time & services to many charitable organizations as well as church and school activities.

Memorial services will be held on Friday September 20, 2013 from 9:30 am - 11:00 am Rose Family Funeral Home 4444 Cochran St Simi Valley,Ca (805-581-3800)

Afterwards will be interned at Oakwood Memorial Park 22601 Lassen
