With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Dale Alan Sweitzer on June 27, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born on August 7, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dale was a man of determination. After completing his education, he packed up his car and drove to California with big dreams, never looking back. He built a life entirely his own, beginning his career as an engineer in aerospace before using his natural charm to transition into real estate, while Simi Valley was still in its infancy. Later, he combined his engineering expertise with his talent for sales to build his own company, helping him to retire early and enjoy the life he had worked to create.

Dale was married to Katherine Sweitzer for 26 wonderful years and was a proud father to Reagan Sweitzer Schoone and Robert Sweitzer (who preceded him in death) as well as to his stepchildren, Sandra Grim, Shawn Mobley and Sheri Hayes. He was also a loving grandfather and step-grandfather to Holden, Tobias, Nina, Brandi, Alexis, Michelle and Danielle. His grandchildren brought him great joy.

He loved tending his yards, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, admiring his Pantera, traveling, and dining for hours at restaurants. He believed that if you wanted something in life, you should go get it, and he lived that philosophy.

Those who knew Dale knew he was a confident and strong man. He expected the best from himself and those around him, yet beneath that was a deeply kind and sensitive heart that many didn't see at first. He was straightforward, wise, and always willing to share honest advice with the people he loved.

Dale's legacy is one of perseverance, integrity, and living life on his own terms. More than anything, he was simply an all-around truly great man—a loving husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend. His strength, love, quiet compassion, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A viewing and reception will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley on July 16th from 11am – 1pm.
