Dante Cruz Austria

Dante Cruz Austria, SR, of Simi Valley, California, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2018, at Simi Valley Adventist Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 23, 1936 in Sapang Bato, Philippines. He was 81 years old when he joined our Creator. He is the son of the late Pelagia and Demetrio Austria. He was the oldest of 12 children. Survived by his spouse, Josefina Austria, from Simi Valley, CA, 6 children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and 29 nephews and nieces. He worked as an operation manager in Saudi Arabia and managed the first Filipino restaurant in Russia within 17 years. He retired in Target in 2006. He was a sporty man, being a bowling champion in the Philippines, as well as a karate black belt. He is a great, selfless man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be forever in our hearts. A viewing is held on June 2, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Rose Family Funeral and Cremation in Simi Valley, CA, followed by a funeral service held at the Simi Valley United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Mattick at 2:30 PM. A private cremation is on June 4, at Oakwood Crematorium in Chatsworth, CA. Until We Meet Again!
