Delbert Henry Dunnell

Delbert Henry Dunnell, age 72, of Simi Valley, California. Del passed away on Saturday, April 18th, in the early morning surrounded by his family. He was born on July 21, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa. Del was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and lived in California for the last 18 years of his life.

Del is survived by his wife, Diane, daughters, Lori Dunnell (John Wheeler) and Heidi Knight. Also his grandsons, Casey Perea, Tyler Perea, and Ryan Knight, sisters, Nancy Wright and Patricia Geier, brother-in-law, James Olson, and many nieces and nephews.

Del loved to fish and loved animals.

Del was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Geier, his father and step father, Ronald Dunnell and Otto Geier, and sister, Dianne Olson.

A memorial service will be celebrated at Rose Family Funeral Home on Thursday, April 30th, at 6:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Please contact Karyn Wynne (636) 578-1331 for information regarding food or donations.

A memorial service will also be held in Richfield, Minnesota on May 14th.
