Dennis Riley

Dennis Michael Riley 66, (son of Samuel James Riley Jr. and Shirlene LaVonnie McMillion) died in his sleep Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at his home of 36 years in Simi Valley. His wife of 41 years Diana, son Rick, daughter Heather were by his side. Dennis was born in Los Angeles on August 12, 1947. Also survived by three granddaughters Mae, Sera and Natalie and brother, Greg Riley. After retiring from the Inglewood Police Department, Dennis worked as a supervisor for Teradyne Electronics Corp. in Agoura Hills. Dennis fought his battle with cancer for 16 years. During that time he traveled extensively on his motorcycle with his many friends, camped all over the western states and fished the ocean and many streams. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. His many talents included repairing antique clocks, building custom fishing rods, glider airplanes, and turning wood art pieces. A celebration of Dennis' life will take place Saturday, August 31 at Santa Susana Park., Simi Valley at 2:00 pm.
