Diana Esther Baber

Diana Esther Baber, 72, of Chatsworth, CA, passed away on August 26, 2015 in Chatsworth, CA.

Diana was born in Los Angeles, CA to Esther and Julio Anchondo on April 11, 1943. She attended Canoga Park High School and graduated in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart Chris Baber on February 17, 1962.

Her biggest enjoyment in life was family. Being a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend brought her many years of happiness. Her love of family was reflected in 1982 when Chris, her family and friends surprised her with a secret 2nd wedding celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary, an event she always cherished. She loved spending time at the beach, water skiing and camping with friends (even though she never learned how to swim or ride a bike). In addition, cooking, sewing and entertaining others brought her great joy.

Diana is survived by her Husband Chris, Father Julio Anchondo, Children Scott (Deanna) Baber, Todd (Hope) Baber, and Julie Brame, Grandchildren, Trevor, Cord, Cole, Emelie and Chloe. She is preceded in death by her Mother Esther Anchono.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the close friends and family who surrounded her with love in her final days.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Euphrasia Catholic Church, 11766 Shoshone Ave., Granada Hills, CA 91344 on September 3rd at 12:00 noon with Reverend Monsignor James C. Gehl officiating, followed by interment at Oakwood Memorial Park, Chatsworth, CA. A reception will be held immediately following at the family home.
