Dianne J. Kahl, aged 77, of Simi Valley, California, peacefully passed away in her sleep at her residence. Her funeral services are scheduled to take place at Antioch Church of Simi Valley California on November 22, 2025 at 10 AM.

Born on July 22, 1948, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Dianne was the daughter of Donald and Joyce Reynolds. She was raised on farms in Calhoun and Webster Counties, Iowa. Her early education was completed in Cedar Valley, where she graduated from Cedar Valley High School in 1966. Subsequently, she pursued higher education at Western Colorado University in Gunnison and attended the Colorado Law Enforcement Academy, preparing her for a diverse career.

On September 11, 1971, Dianne married Lynn Mangum, with whom she had two daughters. The family’s residence and employment history spanned several states, including Gunnison, Colorado; Rapid City, South Dakota; Great Falls, Montana; Camarillo, California; and Simi Valley, California. Throughout her professional life, Dianne held various positions, such as a legal secretary, real estate receptionist, deputy sheriff in Gunnison County, social worker in Ventura County, Department of Revenue employee in Montana, and finally in the Child Support Enforcement office in Fort Dodge, Iowa, before her retirement.

Her faith played a significant role in her life. Dianne was a member of the United Methodist Church in Farnhamville, Iowa, and the First Church of the Nazarene in Great Falls, Montana. She actively participated in church activities, including teaching Sunday school in Gunnison and singing in church choirs, demonstrating her dedication to her community and faith.

She is survived by her children: Lyndee Dean (Rick) of Simi Valley, California; Christy Jo Gruber (Eric) of Glendale, Arizona; and Matt Doolittle (Kim) of Webster City, Iowa. Her grandchildren include Caleigh Rodriguez (Charles) of Simi Valley, Trevor Pagano (Lexi) of Fresno, California, and Noah Dean (Allyson Herndon) of Placerville, California. Dianne also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Kadence Gizis and Niko Pagano, along with her brother Dave Reynolds (Linda) of The Villages, Florida, and sister Julie Schultz (Phill) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the discretion of the family to honor her memory and support causes close to her heart.
