Born June 3, 1931 to Frank and Placida Bernardo in Brooklyn, New York.
Moved to California as a young bride and settled in the San Fernando Valley where she raised a family and retired in Westlake Village.
Sister to three brothers, Don, Joe, and Vinnie.
Loving mother to Bill, Bob, and June.
Doting grandmother to Jeff, Teenie, Kenny, Marce, Jimmy, and Jason.
Proud great-grandmother to Nathan, Kaiden, Layla, and Julia.
She loved flowers and gardening, known for her green thumb.
She loved her four- legged companions, first Cindy then Ginger.
Going to the movies, operas, musicals and nice restaurants were her favorite activities. She loved cooking for family and friends. Notable were her organizational skills. At work she was well-liked and appreciated for her administrated skills and her caring, friendly personality. Her favorite jobs were working for Thomas Organ and Data Products where she made lifelong friendships.
Always an independent thinker with strong, well-informed, opinions regarding fashion, music, and politics.
In her final two years she was supported by family and the gentle caregivers in her memory care assisted living home. She died peacefully at the age of 83 years on March 22, 2015.
