Donald Michael Collins

Donald Michael Collins, known as Mike Collins, 69, of Woodland Hills, California, passed away on June 15, 2025. Mike was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Donald and Dee Collins on May 9, 1956. Mike’s family moved to Southern California when he was a young child. Eventually, his family moved to the San Fernando Valley and Mike called Woodland Hills home. Here, Mike met his wife, Sharon, and together they shared a beautiful marriage of thirty five years and a daughter, Maagen. As a young adult, Mike worked at McDonnell Douglas and then Warner Brothers Studios where he worked hard and diligently in the flooring department for over thirty years, made many great friendships, became a supervisor, and retired.

Mike loved the beach and ocean, surfing and fishing at any opportunity he had. He also enjoyed barbequing for, and spending time with, his family and friends. Mike enjoyed camping, tending to his yard, visiting with neighbors and coworkers, and extending subtle acts of kindness. Mike had a big heart and was gifted with valuable knowledge and a sense of caring that was truly special. Mike had an ease about him and was a gentle reminder to enjoy the simple things in life.

Mike will be deeply missed by everyone, including his wife Sharon, daughter Maagen, honorary son Chad, mother Dee, brother Steve, all family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

Mike will be laid to rest at Oakwood Memorial Park & Cemetery in Chatsworth, California on Saturday, July 12th, 2025 at 9:00 A.M. with a reception to follow.
