Eric Lee Heninger

Eric Lee Heninger, 57, of Simi Valley, CA passed away at his home on May 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held at the Rose Family Funeral Home on June 5th at 10am. The funeral service will be followed by Eric’s burial at the Oakwood Cemetery in Chatsworth, CA.

Eric was born on January 22, 1958 in Northridge, CA to his parents Howard Peery Heninger and Carole Anne Heninger. He grew up with two older half siblings Mike and Robin and one younger sibling Casey. He married Diane Martinez in 1977 followed by the birth of his first son, Patrick in 1978. His second son, Jesse, was born five years later in 1983. In 1987, Eric lost his daughter Amanda at birth. It was a tough time for the family and Eric was the backbone to hold the family together.

Eric loved the outdoors and enjoyed dirt bike riding, camping, and fishing. His favorite times were spent fishing Eastern Sierras streams or riding motorcycles with his sons. He also loved being on a boat fishing Mexican waters with his friends.

Eric is preceded in death by his daughter Amanda, his father Howard, and his uncles Wayne and Paul. Eric is survived by his wife Diane, his two sons Patrick and Jesse, his mother Carole, his siblings Mike, Robin, and Casey, his and grandsons Weston and Caleb.
