Ernest Heyneman

Ernest Heyneman Simi Valley, CA Ernest Heyneman passed away quietly at his home on February 16th, with his family around him. He was 94 years old. Ernie was born in Belgium and came to America with his family when he was three years old. He served in the US Army during World War II in the South Pacific, and then returned home to settle in Southern California. Ernie spent most of his adult life working at MGM Studios as a sound engineer, during the heyday of the studio when many landmark films were made. Ernie was a devoted family man and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ernie is survived by his three children, Jean Rehklau, Nicholas Heyneman, and Kathy Messano and their families; his son Martin Heyneman's widow Diane and daughter Ziah, and his niece Sandy Crawford and her family. He will be buried next to his beloved wife of 57 years, Emma, who passed away in June 2005. Rest in peace Dad, we will miss you.
