Evelyn LaVonne Pyle, 83, of Simi Valley, California, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2021 at her home. Funeral service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on Friday, July 30th at 1:00 with Reverend Gary Dickey officiating. A burial will be at a later date in South Dakota. Evelyn was born in Clear Lake, South Dakota to Leonard and Gertrude Konold. She went to high school at Toronto High School and graduated in 1955. After high school Evelyn left for Los Angeles to begin her career in the tourism industry. She worked for United Airlines and then spent many years with Brendan Tours specializing in vacations to Ireland. Evelyn loved travel, golf, and boating with her husband Larry. She belonged to many golf course clubs and the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club. She traveled extensively with her husband Larry or her many girlfriends all over the United States and the world. Evelyn loved visiting with friends and family, chatting on the phone, and watching sports of all kinds. Evelyn is survived by her son, Rick Myers (Terri) of Palmdale, CA, grandchildren Myles and Molly, and nieces and nephews Kevin Konold, Kerry Konold, and Kim Burg. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elliot (Larry) Pyle, son Michael Myers, sister Elaine Bjerke, and brothers Percy and Willard Konold.
