Fawn Anderson Needham

Fawn Anderson Needham died peacefully in her Thousand Oaks, California home on October 6, 2021. Fawn was born on May 19, 1927 in Orem, Utah to Oscar Hyrum Anderson and Eliza Bronson. She grew up during the great depression and World War II, graduating from Brigham Young High School in 1945. She married Alfred Booth Needham on September 26, 1947 in Salt Lake City and after a few years they moved to Southern California. They raised three children in California, moving to their house in Thousand Oaks in January 1965 where Fawn lived for 56 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will continue to be thought of fondly by her descendants and many others. Fawn loved to travel to new places and also to camp in the redwoods. She developed herself as an artist and started several small businesses. She enjoyed her service in the church, especially with the young women. Fawn is survived by 3 sons: Greg (Beverly) Needham of Simi Valley, California; David (Susan) Needham of Lake Elsinore, California; Doug (Gloria) Needham of Ventura, California; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Fawn was the last of her generation in her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; Herald Anderson, Paul Anderson, Flora Dunn, Laverl Anderson, and Lorna Larsen; her husband, Al; her daughter-in-law Nancy (David) Needham; and grandsons Matthew Needham and Jeffrey Needham. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 16th at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building at 1600 Erbes Rd, Thousand Oaks, California where she attended for many years. All are welcome to the funeral service. The interment will be at a graveside service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday October 19th at the Orem Cemetery in Orem, Utah.
