Frank John Wysocki, age 94, of Chatsworth, California, passed away on September 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, California on September 19, 2016 at 10:00am with Chaplain Jay officiating. Burial will follow at the same location with a presentation of flags by the US Coast Guard and the LAPD. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY to Anthony Wysocki and Anna (Frenchko) on August 19, 1922. He went to high school at the Nazareth Trade School in Farmingdale, Long Island. He graduated in January 1942. Moving to Southern California after serving in WWII, he reunited with his two brothers who were both with the police department. In 1949, he joined the Los Angeles Police Department where he worked until retirement thirty-years later.
Frank is survived by his wife, Gloria Wysocki, of Chatsworth, and his daughters, Michele Smaltz, Stef Ann Eagy, Carrie LaDou; and granddaughters, Tara Smaltz, Whitney Nutt, Kayla Miller and Cassidy LaDou. He's preceded in death by his siblings, John, Edward (Eddie), Stella, Stephanie and Joe.
His wife declared him to be a "Very good man." His laughter and smile will be missed.
