George Clarence Raincock of Simi Valley passed away October 25, 2013 at the age of 81. He was born September 25, 1932 to May Avelyn Runkle also of Simi Valley and Cyril Cameron Raincock of Winnipeg, Canada. He leaves his friend and love of his life of 45 years Mary Martha Raincock, his four children Sharon married to Ted Cox, Mike Denham, Mark Denham, and Dr. Melody Denham. He also left 12 loved grandchildren and 6 great-grand children. Additionally, he leaves a niece, a nephew, many beloved cousins, and two aunts. Lastly, he leaves his devoted dog Stella. George graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1950. He served in the army in 1953 in Korea. He received a National Defense Service Medal and a citation for good conduct. After serving the military he became active in stockcar racing as a stockcar pit crew and owner. He met his wife Mary Raincock and was married July 4, 1968. George was a truck driver and owner operator of George Raincock Trucking until retirement. His hobbies included refurbishing cars and tractors and designing functional equipment. He spent many hours teaching his children and grandchildren how to refurbish engines and operate equipment. Family and friends were the cornerstone of his life. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. We look forward to seeing him and his funny sense of humor again in heaven. Celebration of his life will be held at Cornerstone Church Saturday November 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. 2080 Winifred St. Simi Valley, 93063.
