Grace Zecca

Our dear mother Graziella “Grace” Falzone Zecca, 82 of Simi Valley, CA, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2017, surrounded by family in Chatsworth, CA.

Memorial service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1380 Fitzgerald Rd., Simi Valley, CA. A celebration of her life to follow at Rose Family Funeral Home.

Graziella Falzone was born in Santa Caterina Villarmosa, Sicily, on August 19, 1934, to the late Giuseppe Falzone & Giovanna Stella Falzone.

Grace was 16 when she came to America from Sicily to Ellis Island, and made her home in Chicago, Illinois. She worked for Bell and Howell in their factory. Grace met the love of her life Aldo, in 1953, and shortly after married in 1954. Grace and Aldo fell in love with California, while visiting relatives, and moved there in 1963, with two little girls in tow, no more snow! Grace made friends easily, it was her warm nature, love of people and cooking that drew you in. She was quite the entrepreneur, seamstress to many and hairdresser to others. It was her way of staying home with her children and putting a little extra money away for herself and the kids.

Grace is survived by her husband, Aldo Zecca of Simi Valley, CA, daughters Linda Cochran (Chris), of Simi Valley, CA, Debra Nine-Gilmore (Joe), of Las Vegas, NV, sisters Marie LaMonica (Larry) of Thousand Oaks, CA, Olga Siefke of Ventura, CA , grandchildren Eric Nine II, of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Matthew Brown, of Ojai, CA, Lindsay Cochran (Jake Berry) of Simi Valley, CA., Nicholas Cochran of Simi Valley, CA., great granddaughter Addison Nine, of Ft. Mitchell, KY, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her, sister, Josephina Falzone, and brother Gaetano Falzone.
