Grant M. Olewiler Jr.

June 29, 1921 – March 30, 2017

Grant Olewiler passed away peacefully at his home in Thousand Oaks, California. Born in Pennsylvania, Grant studied engineering at Penn State, was an officer in the U.S. Navy, and retired from the City of Los Angeles as civil engineer after 30+ years. He is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Lownes Olewiler, second wife Peggy Smith, an older brother, and younger sister. He is survived by 6 children: Suzan Strader (Walt), Megret Olewiler (Ken Westfall), Lora VanDixhorn (Tom), April Brandes (Mark), Conny Crisalli (Mike), and Grant III (Cathy). He leaves 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and sister, Margie Kriebel. Believing in God and his family, he loved life, sailing, and traveling the world. He will be fondly remembered for his conversational camaraderie and enthusiasm. Contributions may be made to Assisted Home Health or the Bridge Church Moorpark.
