Gwen G Beeson

With love in our hearts, we announce the passing of Gwendolyn Gail Beeson, or Gwen Beeson, 82, of Simi Valley, CA, on January 25, 2018. Gwen was surrounded by her family when she passed away at Simi Valley Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on January 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm, with Reverend Alvin Young officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen St Chatsworth, 91311. A celebration of her life will be held at the Beeson home, 3129 Sky Court, Simi Valley, CA 93063.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Jerry, son Jeffrey Tyler, daughters Debra DuPuy, Sheri Lubin, Cheryl Beeson, Michele Garcia, and Melissa Dixon. She was loved and will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Jason Young, Ashley Gunder, Anthony Bonafede, Dawn Young, Lauren Tyler, Valerie Holm, Thomas Parling, and Tabbitha Strauch. Gwen was a proud great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Danny Beeson, and sister Sharon Ehrlich.

Gwen was born the eldest of five sisters in Hollywood, California to Floyd and Dorothy Clark on November 7, 1935. Gwen is survived by her sisters Connie Wickstrom, Judy Rutherford, and Vicki Beatty. When Gwen was six months old, her family moved to Minnesota, where she did not enjoy the freezing winters! Once she returned to California, Gwen graduated from Culver High in 1953, and enjoyed being a Simi Valley resident since 1974. She loved boating vacations at Lake Havasu, AZ, sunbathing by her pool, shopping and watching and attending Los Angeles Kings hockey games.
