Hector Moreno Reyes, age 57, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital. A man defined by his immense generosity and "Golden Heart," Hector leaves behind a legacy of kindness that spanned from California to his beloved hometown in Mexico.Life Story

Born on December 27, 1968, in Ario de Rayón, Zamora, Michoacán, Hector was the eldest of four children born to Marcos Jose Moreno Anguiano and Josefina Maria Reyes Garcia. From a young age, Hector took his role as the oldest sibling seriously, always looking out for Marcos Jr., Sandra, and Graciela. He grew up working alongside his grandfather, Ruben Moreno, in La Parcela La Abaleña, forming a deep connection to his roots and a love for horseback riding.In 2003, Hector married the love of his life, Maria Del Carmen Garcia. Together, they built a life centered on family, including his cherished daughter, Jessica Jasmine Quintana.Known affectionately by friends in Ario de Rayón as "El Monstro," Hector was a man of action when it came to helping others. Whether he was feeding the homeless, supporting children’s hospitals for cancer research, or simply checking in on his nephews—Francisco, Christopher, Fernando, Jonathan, Armando, and Arianna—Hector’s focus was always on the well-being of those around him.He was a passionate sports fan, never missing a game for his favorite teams: the LA Dodgers, LA Lakers, and the Raiders. A memorial service to celebrate Hector’s life will be held on April 10, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Rose Family Funeral Home & Cremation, 4444 Cochran St, Simi Valley, CA 93063.Final Wishes

In accordance with his final wishes, Hector will be cremated. His wife, Maria, will return his ashes to his birthplace in Ario de Rayón, Michoacán, bringing him home to the land where his journey began.
