Jadwiga Sokolnicka

Jadwiga Krystyna Sokolnicka (Lalka), of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on August 1, 2020 in California, U.S.A. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Roman Catholic graveside funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on August 12, 2020 at 10:30 am at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068. Jadwiga was born in Warsaw, Poland during the 2nd World War to Cecylia and Mieczyslaw Sokolnicki on July 24, 1942. Jadwiga is survived by her two children Ewa and Bernard, as well as her beloved granddaughter Dominika. She was preceded in death by her husband Michal, her parents, and her sister Dr. Wanda Mierzejewska. Jadwiga emigrated to Los Angeles in 1988 and worked as an economist, she moved to her cherished home in Las Vegas in 2006. She deeply loved both her native Poland and her adopted U.S.A.
