Jean Rehklau passed away peacefully in her home in Simi Valley on Oct 1, 2014, after a long battle with a brain tumor. She was 64. Jean was born and raised in sunny Southern California, the oldest of four children. She graduated from CSUN with a teaching credential and taught Special Education for several years, until staying home to raise her children. She was an active member of her congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and shared in care for her two parents in their later years. Jean is survived by her ex-husband Pete Rehklau; brother Nicholas (Cathy) Heyneman, sister Kathy (Frank) Messano; her two children Keith (Lindsay) Rehklau and Julia (Tim) Francis; and her three grandchildren Ben, Seth, and Evelyn. She was proceeded in death by her brother Martin (Diane) Heyneman. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday October 10 at 6 PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5373 Barnard St, Simi Valley, California 93063.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Southern California & Nevada Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We love you Mom, we will miss you.
