Jeanette was born in McClure, Pennsylvania to Mabel and Albert Bishop on July 16th, 1935. She grew up in a very loving, close family that cultured so many memories and shaped their and other lives forever in wonderful ways. She worked at Farmer’s Insurance Company and in retail for 30 years and was involved in volunteer work through her church and at the Simi Senior Center.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Vickie Robison from Vancouver, Washington, her son Lynn Robison from Simi, her son Tim Robison from Spearfish, South Dakota and friend of many years, Lloyd Voorhes of Simi Valley. Grandchildren include Adam De Simone of Stevenson, Washington, Anna Hanely of Newberry Park, California, Andrew Robison of Moorpark, California and Patrick Robison, also of Moorpark, California. Great grandchildren include Gina, Julia and Jack De Simone, Daniel and Dora Hornback, Bridgette Hanely, Jack, Ben and William Robison, and Charlie, Kate and Ella Robison.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lamar Coble Robison, her parents, and all siblings except Ivan Bishop of McClure Pennsylvania., as well as many, many nieces and nephews.

Traveling was always a passion and through the years she was always looking forward to new trips. She and her husband “Rob” went on a European tour in 1964, then returned many times to individual places in Europe. Her favorite trip took them to Egypt where their guide was an 80+year old man who actually helped Carter discover King Tut’s tomb. Aside from road and air travel Jeanette and Rob loved to go on cruises. These adventures also spanned the globe, passing through the Panama Canal on three separate occasions.

After Rob passed and Jeanette became friends with Lloyd they perpetuated the travel bug as well, visiting Washington DC, Hawaii, Montana, Pennsylvania, Washington State, Oregon, Las Vegas and various day trips. She loved craft fairs and events and filled her home with memories that speak to any visitors of all the fun and history behind the stories they told.

She found great enjoyment from collecting mementos from her travels, crocheting, craftwork, gardening, decorating, and having parties with relatives and friends.

We will dearly remember Jeanette every day in so many ways through her unending kindness, empathy and generosity to all ahead of herself.
