Jennifer was born and raised in Southern California, growing up in a Mormon family Jennifer remained faithful to her faith and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After graduating from Valencia High School in 2001 Jennifer started her undergraduate degree at College of the Canyons and then completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics at the University of Houston, Houston, TX. Later she returned home to California and pursued her Master’s Degree in Education through the University of Southern California. Jennifer was well known for kind heartedness, anyone who met her was immediately attracted to her smile and presence. Jennifer was passionate and believed that is was her purpose in life to be an educator. She taught at various schools in Texas and North Carolina until her diagnoses with Stage IV Cancer. Following her diagnoses, she spent two years fighting the cancer and returned to the classroom this past fall 2019. She chose to remain in the classroom until she could do so no more this past February 2020 when she fell ill as a result of the cancer affecting other organs. On her last day in the school realizing she could no longer fulfill her life’s quest of being an educator she can be quoted in asking her administration “What about my students, who will teach them?”. Jennifer loved the beaches of California and North Carolina, she loved being with her kids during every possible minute, she loved being outdoors when she could.
