Jerry Thomas Royston, age 91, died of natural causes on Sunday, January 29, 2023, in Simi Valley, California


Jerry Royston is survived by his wife, Marion Royston of Simi Valley, California; his daughter and son-in-law, Bob and Nita Gross of Nisswa, MN; and his daughter and son-in-law Scott and Karen Evans of Moorpark, California


Jerry Royston was born on January 29, 1932 in Beaumont Texas, to parents Thomas and Carol Royston. He graduated from A&M University in 1963 with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1963 he moved to Thousand Oaks, California and accepted a position as an Electrical Engineer at Hughes Aircraft company, where he worked for more than 30 years.


Jerry Royston was a great family man and a loving father. He married Marion Juanita Bradley on November 28, 1957 and the couple had two daughters.


He enjoyed playing bridge, spending time with his family and attending church. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind and thoughtful person who loved his wife and family and was a committed believer in Jesus Christ.


A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, February 25th, at 11:00 at Rose Family Funeral Home. Located at 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, Ca. Burial site is located at El Rancho Simi Pioneer Cemetary, 1461 Thompson Lane, Simi Valley, Ca. All are welcome to celebrate Jerry Royston’s life.
