Jessica Rae Ortiz

Jessica Rae Ortiz, 30, of Lancaster, CA, passed away on July 16, 2021 in Van Nuys, CA. Funeral services will be held at Mission San Fernando Rey de España on July 28, 2021 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on July 27, 2021 from 5:00-9:00 PM. Jessica Rae Ortiz was born in Panorama City, CA to Laurie Quintana and Christopher Ortiz on December 29, 1990. She went to high school at John F. Kennedy High School. She went on to attend beauty school at Paul Mitchell and she also completed her Medical Assistant Certification. She truly enjoyed working as a Medical Assistant and was passionate about patient care. As a child, Jessica loved riding her bike, playing dress up and swimming – she was a real life mermaid! Jessica absolutely loved movies, especially the scary ones! Chucky and The Little Mermaid were her favorites. Jessica is survived by her parents, Laurie Duran and Christopher Ortiz, their spouses, Jess Duran and Arianne Ortiz, her sister, Adara Ortiz, her grandparents Federico and Elideth Ortiz, her aunt Christie Rocha, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Al and Alice Quintana and her uncle Leroy Quintana. Jessica was loved by so many and the family wishes to extend their gratitude to each and every person who has kept them in their thoughts and prayers.
