John Leiva Barragan 1924-2012 John Leiva Barragan passed away peacefully Sunday, January 15, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Johnny was 88 years old, born on January 6, 1924, in Los Angeles, CA. He was a Veteran of the Armed Forces and will be well remembered for his sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time in his backyard garden with his sunflowers and his boxer, Kylie. John, "Viejo," is survived by the love of is life, Eva, wife of 65 years. Sons & daughter-in-law; John Barragan, Anthony and Terri Barragan. Daughters and son-in-laws; Gilbert and Ina Fuentes, Noe and Linda Garcia. Brothers; Tom Barragan and Rudy Lopez. Sisters; Lucille Miller, Connie Brown, Vera Lopez, Josie Gonzalez, Ester Brown, and predeceased; Waldina Fish, Lucy Mendoza. "Grandpa" will be remembered and missed dearly by his 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His memories will be held close in the hearts of all his family, friends, and neighbors. Viewing will be held at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, 2816 Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley, CA, on Saturday, January 21st, from 10am-11am. Memorial services will commence at 11am. Burial Services will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 1380 Fitzgerald Road, Simi Valley. Celebration of life will be at 2283 Rebecca St, Simi Valley, following services. Flower deliveries prior to services may be sent to Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran St, Simi Valley, CA 93063. The Family would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
