John Hartley

John William Hartley, our "Johnny," who passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2013, surrounded by his beloved wife, Katha, and family. He was 76 years old and born in Denver, CO, to Robert and Helen Hartley. John was an incredibly loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a passionate Democrat, avid Notre Dame/Broncos/Yankees/Cubs/Oregon Ducks fan, volunteer, golfer, tennis player, and political enthusiast. Most of all, he was an incredibly good man. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Katha, as well as his children, Beth (Jim), Kate (Mike), Jack (Melissa), Anne (Rob), and Mark (Jo Ann), along with his grandchildren, Kyla (Caley), Logan, Drew, Sam, Luke, Chloe, Johnny, Tate, Hannah, and Lily. He is also survived by his brother Robert and sisters Catherine and Eileen, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of donations, the family requests that you make a donation in his name to cancer research and/or Habitat for Humanity

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St Maximillian Kolbe in Westlake Village on Saturday April 27, 2013
