John was born in New Orleans, LA on September 11, 1940 to Luther and Virginia Robbins. That was about the last time John ever sat still until he turned 70. He attended Military School as a young boy and was followed by an early enlistment in the Navy. Electronics and flying became his passions, both learned in the Navy. Upon leaving the Navy he moved to California and soon earned his way through various opportunities to become a key player and manager for Superscope Inc. The friends he made there led to many consulting jobs throughout the electronics industry which fueled his passion for travel and adventure across the globe.
John found the true love of his life, Joy whom he married in 1989. She finally convinced him to settle down and together they started and ran PCJOY here in Simi Valley for the past 25 years.
John leaves behind his beloved wife, Joy, his daughter Jeannette, and his 5 grandchildren Pavlina, Caroline, Jocelyn, Ethan, and Juliette. He is also survived by his brother Richard Robbins, son-in-law Sasha Mitchell, many cousins in Louisiana. He also leaves his many friends at the Firehouse Cafe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 11, 2016; details to follow at a later date.
