Jonathan Andrew Yofan

Jonathan “Jon” Yofan, 55, of Simi Valley, CA, passed away from colon cancer on March 15, 2026.

Jon was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Outgoing and easy to talk to, he had a natural way of making people feel comfortable, whether they’d known him for years or had just met him. More than anything, he loved his family and took great pride in raising his two sons, Ethan and Ryan.

He spent countless hours on the baseball field, not just cheering from the sidelines but coaching and mentoring kids in the community. As a Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster, Jon was deeply committed to helping young people grow, learn, and find confidence in themselves. He brought energy, humor, and a genuine care for others into everything he did.

Jon is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons, Ethan and Ryan; his mother, Sharon; and his brother, Adam. He was preceded in death by his father, Avi.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his home in Simi Valley on July 11 at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to come share stories, remember Jon, and celebrate the impact he had on so many.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the conversations he sparked, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
