Joseph Peter Fernandez, 38 of Canoga Park, California, affectionately known as Big Joe, passed away on November 13, 2016, leaving behind a hell of a lot of stuff his family have no idea what to do with. Big Joe was renowned for his love of the sports, betting the odds, and Tía Lisa’s chocolate trifle.
Joe was born in Granada Hills, Ca to Gloria Olivas on November 12, 1978. He attended Canoga Park High School and graduated in 1997.
He was never one to miss a good time, so he wanted you to know that if he owes you a beer, and if you can find him in Heaven, he will gladly allow you to buy him another. He decided the only way to guide his beloved Washington Redskin to a SuperBowl win in 2018 was to coach from above.
Joe is forever in the hearts of his surviving family Gloria Olivas (mother), sisters Lorraine Fernandez (“Naine”) and Rachel Paynter (“ROC”), Margie Olivas (“Nana”), beloved nieces and nephews Alyssa (“Changa”), Daisy (“Dais”), Ariel Vargas and Anthony Fernandez (“Ant”), Tío’s Eddie and Jerry, Tía’s Barbara, Lisa, and Dawn.
