Joseph Dario Gonzalez

Joseph D. Gonzalez, 59, of Simi Valley, California, passed away on April 21, 2026, peacefully in his home. Funeral service will be held at Grace Bible Church of Moorpark located at 12039 Hertz St, Moorpark, CA 93021, on Saturday, May 23rd with Pastor Braden Patterson officiating.

Joe was born in California and grew up in the Central Valley, where he developed a strong sense of community and compassion for others. He pursued his legal education at Golden Gate University School of Law School, and practiced law for nearly three decades. Throughout his career, Joe was known for his dedication to environmental justice and his commitment to making a positive impact on the communities and clients he served. He approached his work with integrity, thoughtfulness, and a deep desire to help others.

Beyond his professional life, Joe loved spending time with his wife and hosted BBQs with family and friends. Joe was known for his loyalty, his sarcastic sense of humor, and was always entertaining at every social gathering. He had a special affection for his beloved cats, found happiness on the golf course and traveling with friends, creating many cherished memories along the way. Joe will be remembered for his kind heart, his warrior spirit, and the genuine care he showed to those around him.

Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Christa; his mother, Lupe; his stepfather, George; his stepmother, Dolores; his siblings, Sammie, Maricela, and David; his in-laws, nieces, nephews and many other cherished family members, friends, and colleagues.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to their friends at Grace Bible Church, as well as the many family members and friends who have reached out to support Christa during this difficult time.
