Lina Belardo (Inday) Gecosala left this world to be with her heavenly Father on July 3rd, 2022 in Simi Valley, California to be reunited with her father Bienvenido and her sister Lilian.
Lina is survived by her husband, Richard Gecosala of Moorpark and their six children, Marites and Eric Rickling, Richlin and Brendan Burns, Richard Jr. and Christina Gecosala, Marlon and Leslie Gecosala, June Rose and Jhoanna Lopez, Ric Martin and Johanna Gecosala, her grandchildren Marc Kaylon, Aoibheann and Johann Martin and her mother Rosita Belardo and her siblings Romulo, Ronald, Lilia, Linda, Lerma, Rosell, Roger, Loida and Romeo.
Lina was born in the Philippines to Rosita Yap and Bienvenido Belardo on January 1st 1951. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Education in the Philippines. She worked as an English and Literature teacher for 22 years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, listening to instrumental and praising songs, going to the parks and traveling and she loved watching her soap opera tv series in her spare time.
Lina was a devout Catholic her entire life and very passionate about her faith. She was going to the church every Sunday until she had some medical challenges but still kept her faith hearing Sunday mass on television.
Lina was fulfilled. She had a loving marriage for over 47 years with her husband Richard, loved raising her family, and was devoted to her relationship with God.
Visitation will be held at 4444 Cochran St, Simi Valley, CA 93063 on July 12th at 9:00am. A Rosary will be held at Rose Family Funeral home on July 12th at 1030am. Funeral service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on July 12th at 11:00am with Deacon Melecio Zamora officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Mortuary & Crematory, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91362. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
