Linda Ann (Marciniak) Yankie February 21, 1939 – April 25, 2026 Linda Ann (Marciniak) Yankie, age 87, passed away peacefully at home in Simi Valley, California on April 25, 2026, surrounded by love.
Born on February 21, 1939, in Alpena, Michigan, to Roy and Helen (McNeil) Marciniak. Linda grew up in Alpena and carried her love for her hometown throughout her life. On July 30, 1960, she married the love of her life, Gerald “Jerry” Yankie. Their marriage began a life of adventure together that would take them to many places while raising their family. Jerry’s loving care and devotion surrounded her through her final days. Linda lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family. Her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness were a reflection of the grace she carried throughout her life.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Jerry Yankie; her children Lora(Jim) Yankie Kennaugh, Dr. Frances Yankie, DDS, and Scott (Jeanette) Yankie. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jordan Kennaugh, Carter Yankie, Riley Marsh, Natale Yankie and Cole Marsh who will forever carry her love and gentle wisdom in their hearts. Linda is also survived by her siblings: Jere(Patsy) Marciniak, Steve(Jacina) Marciniak, Lisa(Tom) Glazier, Carole Marciniak and Dave Snavley well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will cherish her memory forever. Linda is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Roy and Helen Marciniak; her daughter, Kathryn; her sister, Andria Marciniak Gauthier Snavley; her brother, Joel Marciniak (all of Alpena Michigan); and her nephew, Christopher Warrick (of Denver Colorado). Her family finds peace in knowing she rests in the presence of the Lord and in the joyful reunion of those who went before.
A celebration of Linda’s beautiful life will be held on July 30th in Alpena, Michigan, where family and friends will gather to honor her life, her faith, and the love she shared so freely. Donations can be made in Linda’s name to the exceptional Hospice organizations who provided so much loving care.
