Louis Augustine Camou (Lou) 84, of Simi Valley CA, passed away on October 26, 2025 in West Hills, CA. He was a beloved Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather and friend whose kindness touched the lives of many.

Louis was born in Los Angeles to Augustine Luis Camou and Maria Luisa Jimenez on November 26,1940. He went to high school at Manual Arts High School, class of 1958.

With his many uncles to help pique his interest, he developed a knack for working with his hands, and becoming an experienced auto mechanic, working on cars and motorcycles, as the latter quickly became a growing interest. This experience led to his developing a trade working with machinery as an adept machinist, working for various companies and ultimately earning promotions as a lead and/or supervisor. He worked as a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor for Anheuser Busch for 10 years.

Louis met his wife Cecilia, in 1962 at the wedding of his cousin to her sister. It was love at first sight. The couple were married in 1963 and began their life together in Los Angeles. Over the next dozen years roughly, Louis and his bride Cecilia would welcome their four kids: Lisa, Mark, Laura and Lorraine. It was also during this time; they moved to Simi Valley in 1974.

He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing, riding motorcycles, watching football and cheering on his favorite sports teams the LA Rams and the UCLA Bruins, playing poker and spending time with Family. With motorcycles becoming a passion in Louis’ life, he and his friends formed a motorcycle club called the Barbarians, which would forge some of the strongest relationships and friendships that Louis would maintain for the rest of his life. They toured the Western United States on their souped-up motorcycles and had many reunions which they all share great memories.

Louis is survived by his Wife, Cecilia Camou, Daughter, Lisa Remy (Richard), Son, Mark Camou, Daughter, Lorraine Pacitti (Anthony) and Brother, Carlos Camou. Grandchildren, Wesley Remy, Lance Remy, Lainie Camou, Liliana Camou, Jayden Pacitti, Logan Pacitti. He is preceded in death by his parents Augustine Luis Camou and Mother Maria Luisa Jimenez, Brother, Richard Camou and Daughter Laura Camou-Landan (John).

Louis has left behind a legacy of being a hard worker and provider and a man who loved God, his family, and his friends unconditionally. Louis' four children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren will all carry forward his spirit to work hard, play hard, and love even harder and longer.
