Margarita Valdez Renteria, a beloved matriarch whose life was shaped by devotion, strength, and quiet grace, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on December 10, 1933, she carried a gentle spirit that touched her family and community with warmth, patience, and unwavering love. She was a longtime pioneer resident of Simi Valley
Margarita lived with a heart rooted deeply in family. Her presence was a sanctuary—steady, nurturing, and filled with the kind of wisdom that grows only from a life lived with humility and compassion. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and belonging; and her love became the foundation upon which generations found their footing.
She moved through life’s seasons with resilience, always meeting others with kindness and understanding. Those who knew her remember her tender strength, her caring hands, and her quiet ability to bring peace simply by being near.
Margarita is lovingly survived by her children Anita Garcia Renteria, Margaret Lopez and Gilbert Renteria. She is also preceded in transition by her daughter Stella Flores Renteria who passed a year before her mother. We hold them both in remembrance—mother and daughter reunited once more, walking together in the peace of the ancestors.
She leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many whose lives were brightened by her presence. Though her earthly journey has come to its close, her spirit continues—present in memory, alive in the stories shared, and shining gently in the hearts of those she loved.
A viewing will be held in her honor on December 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Rose Family Funeral Home,4444 Cochran St., Simi Valley, California
