Mary Ann O’Neil
August 10, 1932 – July 13, 2026
Mary Ann O’Neil of Santa Clarita, California, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026.
Mary was born in Fullerton, Nebraska, on August 10, 1932. She later married the love of her life, Paul O’Neil, and together they made Canoga Park, California, their home. They raised their family on Ponce Avenue, surrounded by wonderful neighbors who became lifelong friends and an important part of their family’s story.
Mary was a dedicated employee of A American Sewing and Kingdom Sewing and Vacuum for many years. She will be remembered by those who knew her there for her soft-spoken friendliness, gentle nature, and ever-present willingness to help. Her talents with a sewing machine were endless. With great patience and love, Mary created beautiful quilts for her family and many friends—cherished keepsakes that will continue to wrap generations in her love.
Mary was also extraordinary in the kitchen. Using the best ingredients, she prepared countless delicious meals and desserts, making nearly everything from scratch and always adding a dash of love. Her food had a way of bringing people together, and the memories made over her special recipes will be treasured by her family forever.
Mary’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her quiet kindness, generous spirit, and unconditional love touched the lives of so many.
Mary is survived by her children, Sean (Steve) Davy, Marty (Kristy) O’Neil, and Tim (Julie) O’Neil; her grandchildren, Kevin (Jill) Davy, Meghan (Cam) Stewart, Kyle Davy, Griffin (Ariel) O’Neil, Savanna O’Neil, and Connor, Mary, and Lily O’Neil; and her great-grandchildren, Brinley, Parker, and Camryn Davy, Navy and Scotland Stewart, and baby boy O’Neil on the way. She is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Paul O’Neil; her parents, Bryan and Mildred Snyder; and her sister, Margaret Haigh.
Mary will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Paul, at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in a private family ceremony on what would have been her 94th birthday.
Her family will forever carry her love with them—in the quilts she lovingly made, the recipes she shared, and in the countless quiet ways she made the people she loved feel cared for.
