Mary Diane Torst, 46, of Simi Valley, California has redeemed her eternal life pass to go explore the forests of heaven. She joined her beloved mother, who was awaiting her at the paradise campsite, on December 18, 2021. Mary, our "May May", was surrounded by loving happy campers as she set off on the Pearly Gates trail. Mary is survived by her loving children: Winter, 27; Shanon, 20, and Iain, 18, as well as her precious granddaughter River, 1. Mary's life was filled with family and friends who adored her. We are joyful in the knowledge that she is freely frolicking in divine meadows, her long, golden hair blowing in the angelic breeze. She is free and at peace at last. Mary was born and raised in Simi Valley. She was an outdoors enthusiast who regularly went on camping trips, took hikes and walked along trails, and dipped into crisp, fresh river waters. She was skilled in cross-stitching and in quilting. Mary loved stationary cycling and general physical fitness. Her inner child could always be found at Main Street, USA in Disneyland. Funeral services will be held for Mary on December 30, 2021. A viewing will be from 9:00am-10:30am, and the funeral will begin at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1276 Erringer Road in Simi Valley. The family invites all who desire to wear purple in Mary’s honor; it was her favorite color.
