Michael Caliva, 69, of Simi Valley, passed away June 5, 2015. He was born to the late Anthony and Marietta Caliva, March 3, 1946, in Burbank, California. Mike graduated from San Fernando High School in 1964. After high school he was drafted into the Army and served in the Vietnam War. Shortly after returning home he married the love of his life, Sandra Oglesby. They lived in Granada Hills for 32 years before relocating to Simi Valley. Mike worked in the grocery business for 51 years before retiring in 2012.
Mike had a lifetime love for cars. He belonged to the Roam'n Relics car club in Simi Valley. He spent many weekends attending car shows with his wife and friends.
Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra Caliva, along with his two daughters, Cheryl Liebe (Jochen) of Santa Clarita, and Michelle Alvarez (Larry) of Santa Clarita. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Caitlin, Jacob, Brianna and Trenton, three sisters, Fran Hubbard (Russ), Joan Olson (Dennis), and Pat McGraw, and numerous nieces and nephews.
