Michele Jane
Pritzlaff
Nov 28, 1959 — May 6, 2026
Michele Jane Sarbak Pritzlaff, 66, of Waymart, Pennsylvania, left this world peacefully, but unexpectedly, on May 6, 2026 in Thousand Oaks, CA. She was a caring mother who set a strong example for her daughters as well as for her granddaughter whom she had met just prior to her passing. More than anything else in this world, she cared about her family and forming meaningful friendships. Many will deeply miss her fun, caring, and playfully sassy presence.
Michele grew up on Long Island, NY and graduated from Bayshore High School in Bayshore, New York. She later moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania where she raised her children. She worked many careers, including in E-commerce, administration, and insurance - always pursuing a schedule that allowed time to care for her children, her number one priority. She traveled frequently with her children to ensure they attended every family event and learned the value of family connection, which Michele understood well.
Michele is survived by her daughters, Amanda and Samantha, as well as by Amanda's baby girl, Jade, and her son-in-law Fabien. She is also survived by her children's father and ex-husband, David, her older sister, Patricia, younger brother, Steven, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law. Michele was preceded in death by her older brother, Henry, and her parents, Patricia and Henry Sarbak, whom she stayed with in Florida to care for prior to their passing.
A beautiful memorial service was held at Saint John Holy Angels Catholic Parish in Newark, DE on Saturday July 11, 2026. It was organized and attended by Michele's nieces, nephews, extended family, and even virtually by her friends and family across the US.
Michele will be missed dearly and was a great example to us all about sticking up for yourself while still doing the right thing for others, your family, and your community. May God care for her soul as she joins her beloved, previously departed family members. In honor of Michele, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
