Norma Brody

Simi Valley NORMA BRODY Norma was born April 25, 1939 in Lynn, Mass., and came to Calif. in 1954 with her family. She passed away October 5, 2011 after losing her battle with cancer. She lived in Simi Valley with her husband and children since 1964. She had been active in her community in various ways, and her three children graduated from Simi Valley High School. As owner of Delta Business Services, Norma developed a temporary help and typing service that operated in Simi for years spanning three decades. Recently, she worked as a substitute teacher throughout the Simi Valley School District. She particularly enjoyed working with the students in the County Juvenile Hall classroom. In her retirement years, she had been knitting and providing baby caps for Simi Adventist hospital. She is preceded in death by her son Steven Charles. She is survived by her loving husband George of 54 years, daughter Sandra (with husband Steve Butts), son Richard (wife Lori), and granddaughters Stephanie Butts, Sidney and Catalina Brody. A memorial and celebration of life will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 3:00.
