Norman ("Norm") Paul Aguiar, 71, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on May 13, 2016, at his home in Simi Valley surrounded by his loving family. Norman was born in New Bedford, Mass. and lived briefly in Panama before his family settled in New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963-1969 during the Vietnam War and always remained proud of his service to his country. He was honorably discharged from the Navy while living in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Norman met Yvonne, who would become his wife and mother of their three children, while living in Florida. After the birth of their first child, they moved to California in 1969 and settled in Simi Valley in 1976 where they lived for the next 40 years. Norman was a dedicated 32-year employee of Prudential Overall Supply and retired in 2006 as a company manager.

Norman is survived by his wife of 49 years, Yvonne; sister Robin Pisz (husband Jim) of Huntington Beach, CA.; son Michael, daughters Michele and Paulette, and seven grandchildren, all of Simi Valley, CA.; four nieces and three nephews.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Sr. and Pauline of Moorpark, CA.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 20, 2016, at the Rose Family Mortuary, 4444 Cochran St., Simi Valley, CA.
